31st March - 28th April 2019

Koh Phangan, Thailand

Overview & Curriculum

A comprehensive, integrative and transformational journey onto the dharmic path of teaching yoga.

During our 4 week residential program, trainees will receive 200 hours of intensive training with practical teaching experience beginning in week one.  Steadily progressive and evermore challenging practicums will build your confidence and help you find the power of your authentic voice. Along the way you will receive nurturing feedback and personalised coaching to support your blossoming into a strong, self-assured and skillful teacher.

Our training features both powerful, strengthening Brahmana (energising, heating) and deeply nurturing Langhana (soothing, cooling) forms of yoga asana; not only to stay balanced and energized in your own practice, but so you have a variety of tools and techniques to offer your future students & clients.  We are carriers of the lineage of TKV Desikachar & Mark Whitwell that requires us to adapt Yoga to suit individual needs. All practices incorporate Breath, Movement, Sound, Silence & Stillness.

A typical Brahamana class includes chanting, pranayama, kriyas, bandha, dynamic flowing practice sometimes with sun salutations, sometimes with the very glorious Dragon Dance, inversions, strengthening and core work leading into quiet spaces, psoas release, and deep relaxation. There is an element of self practice each day where we give personal attention, adjustments and assistance to help trainees with their own practice.

A typical Yin practice includes gentle pranayama, joint articulation, gentle, simple movements entirely enveloped by the breath with meditation, toning, mantra, pranayama techniques and deep relaxation.  This is the Yoga of Intimacy and the experience is incomparable to 'normal' Yoga.

Yoga Alliance Certification

Upon successful completion of the training you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT200 and will have all of the tools, skills and credentials required to begin teaching inspiring, safe and meaningful Yoga classes anywhere in the world.

Additional Course Content

Many hours will be invested in sharing proven, effective techniques that will support both your teaching and your personal evolution such as conscious communication, guided meditation, creative writing, Emotional Freedom Technique, transformative voice work and leadership skills that can bring transformation to all areas of your life.

A required reading list and pre-training assignments will be presented upon registration. We would like trainee's to have at least two years experience to begin this training and potential trainees with less experience may be asked to provide additional information to support their application.  Applications will be considered on their own merit.

This training allowed me to flourish into myself more fully. To believe in my ability to teach and empower others. To share my voice, my gifts, my heart. To continuously challenge myself to deepen into my practice in whatever form that means for me. I am teaching now and feel deeply grateful to all my teachers who have guided me along this path.”
